ENJOY the virtual quiz market – why don’t you host one?

The end of March 2020 saw the second of my #QuizzinFromHomeLIVE broadcasts.

Followers in Southsea, Hants, screened my FB quiz onto their telly.

Pubs, presenters and anyone who’s a bit of fun and bored can do it…all you need is your phone. Mine is designed to include businesses as part of the rounds, I try to make sure it offers something different in the already crowded Virtual Quiz market.

Plenty of questions raised…is there an ideal length? The boom has shown that anyone can do them but are the people behind considering their audience? 2 hours might seem long enough for a pub quiz in the actual pub, but should it be shorter for the virtual market? There’s a load vying for our attention right now!

How key is the audience interaction? I’ll always favour a live one over a pre-recorded one. Are we really bothered about the production values if the person on our screens hosting a quiz is our mate, or the person who hosts the quiz down the local? I think we prefer that raw element…no excuse to slack on the production values here though!

Can you keep it up every week? Yes it’s time consuming but the challenge of shaping it around news, themes and stuff going on in people’s lives is what keeps it interesting for me. Having someone who gets bored easily isn’t going to hurt in this case!
